Kevin Pietersen 9/2 to ever play for England again

Coral make an Ashes whitewash the 9/2 favourite
Leading bookmaker Coral today pushed the odds on Kevin Pietersen ever playing for England again out to 9/2 from 1/2 following the news that he will not be picked this summer.
The prospects for England’s cricket team this summer don’t look great according to the bookmakers however. Coral today opened betting on the correct score for this summer’s Ashes Series and make an Australian 5v0 whitewash the 9/2 favourite, with a 4v0 victory to Australia the second favourite at 5/1.
England are 7/1 with Coral to fail to win any Test Match this summer, against New Zealand and Australia, and are just 33/1 to lose every match.
Alastair Cook is still odds-on to be England captain at the end of the year at 4/7 but is just 5/4 not to be. England are 3/1 to win the Ashes Series and reclaim the Ashes.
“Whilst not surprising, today’s announcement will heap even more pressure on a struggling England outfit that is embarking on one of its toughest summer assignment for many years. There may be good reasons for leaving Kevin Pietersen out, but the odds suggest England are going to struggle, and struggle badly this summer against Australia and perhaps even New Zealand,” said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.
“Alastair Cook is still odds-on to keep hold of the England captaincy but there will be plenty of punters willing to back him at 5/4 to be out of a job by New Year’s Eve given England’s prospects for the Ashes look so grim,” added Clare.
