Plumpton 12.35 – Lord Of Thunder

Lord Of Thunder is a horse we’ve always liked. He won a couple of novice hurdles last season, before an injury cut that campaign short, and we’ve gone chasing with him this season. He looked like he was running a big race at Cheltenham first time up, before he just buckled on landing two out, and then we were a little bit disappointed with how he finished his race at Exeter last time, although the winner has come out and won again since.

Although there are only three runners in this handicap chase, the top weight has won a Grade 2, so we get plenty of weight from him. Lord Of Thunder is schooling well at home, and if he can live up to our hopes for him, he should be going close here getting all this weight from Mark Of Gold.

Chepstow 2.20 – Gyenyame

Gyenyame won a small field race at Exeter two runs ago, everything fell nicely for him that day and he won well. He then disappointed slightly on his next run, he never travelled as well as we would have liked, so we have put the blinkers on him this time. He has schooled well in them at home so we are looking forward to seeing how he takes to them in a race.

Plumpton 3.15 – I Shut That d’Or

I Shut That d’Or has won two of his last three runs, both here at Plumpton, and was just touched off at Wincanton on his other run, so he's really bounced back to form having just lost his way a little bit. As a result, he is up in the weights, and up in grade here, but we think he can cope with that, and he's another who should go well.
