Cheltenham 1.13 – So Said I
So Said I finished a good second at Warwick last month, she travelled well and jumped well that day, and she’s in good nick at home, so this looks a nice race for her. My one concern is the ground drying out too much more, as her best form is on softer going, but if it’s OK for her, she’ll have an each-way chance I’m sure.
Cheltenham 2.25 – Triple Trade
Triple Trade has got winning form over two miles on this sort of ground, so this looks a good opportunity for him. He had the cheekpieces on at Ascot last time, and they really seemed to sharpen him up, so we’ll keep them on. He’s got winning course form, and while all six would have a chance, there isn’t a standout to be scared of, so I’m hopeful he can be there or thereabouts.
Cheltenham 3.00 – Western Knight
I’m really looking forward to running this fellow, who’s two from two over hurdles. He won a shade cosily at Ascot last time, and on ground I think he’ll like, we’re stepping him up to three miles this time, which should suit him. This is a step up in class, but having won the race at Ascot, he deserves to take his chance here, he’s progressing nicely and we’ll find out plenty more about him here and where we aim him for the rest of the season.
