Coral ambassador previews the Tizzard yard’s Sunday runners

13.15 Newbury – Seymour Promise

Seymour Promise ran a lovely race at Huntingdon when he was second. He was fourth in a decent bumper at Kempton last year. He’s got ability but this looks a hot race. He’s ready to run. He’ll take his chance and if he’s not quite good enough to win on Sunday, it won’t be long before he’s winning.

14.25 Newbury – Lostintranslation

Really looking forward to running him. I’m hoping the ground stays good to soft. He’ll love that better ground. He’s had his palate cauterised since the King George, and he seems in lovely form.

We are keen to get a run into him before we head for the Gold Cup. He’s got to bounce back as he’s had two lacklustre runs this season. So there is that question mark but he seems well at home, and this is a prep for the Gold Cup.

Native River is our other Gold Cup horse and he has come out of Sandown really well. He’s just had an easy time of it since. He hasn’t missed a beat, he’s cantered every day and he looks really well. Roll on the Gold Cup. We want it to keep raining for him.

16.10 Newbury – Rockpoint

He’s a horse with a lot of ability on his day. When he refused to race at Cheltenham he’d actually slipped the tendon off his hock which was nearly a career-ending injury but he’s back now.

He has handled all the training and he took his first run well, and he has improved no end for that run. He has dropped to a very workable mark if he puts his mind to it. He’s lucky to be back racing, and in a minute it will click and he will look very well handicapped

16.45 Newbury – Autonomous Cloud

He is a gorgeous big horse who won a bumper at Exeter. He ran very green and this looks the obvious stepping-stone. I wouldn’t have called him a listed bumper type of horse but he won his bumper and this track will suit him. It will be a lovely stepping-stone for him and he’s definitely a horse to look out for when novice hurdling next year and then as a chaser one day.
