Joe Tizzard: “I still believe Sherborne is a good horse”

Coral ambassador Joe Tizzard looks at the prospects of Buckhorn George and Sherborne at Chepstow on Sunday afternoon.

Chepstow 1.40 – Buckhorn George

Buckhorn George is a chaser through and through, and I was pleased enough with his run at Fontwell last time. He schooled really well on Wednesday morning, I think he wants this soft ground, and he’s almost handicapped himself into a position where if Brendan can get him into a good rhythm, he shouldn’t be too far away.

Chepstow 3.10 – Sherborne

Sherborne is a horse I’ve always thought a lot of, but he has been disappointing, as after his hurdles win at Lingfield a couple of seasons ago, we really thought he was going to be a proper 125 rated horse. He seems really well at home, and I think he’s a bit of a confidence horse, so he’s another who I’d like to see get into a good rhythm early on. I still believe he’s a more than capable horse, and I also think he’s well-handicapped.
