The latest insight from the Tizzard stables

Warwick 13.50 – Highest Sun

Highest Sun has been running well over fences this year, finishing third behind the top-class Champ at Newbury, then second at Ascot, before winning his race at Plumpton.

After those two good runs we wanted him to get his head in front, which is why we went to Plumpton, and also at the back of our mind was the bonus [for winning at Plumpton and the Cheltenham Festival], although he’ll have to keep improving to be a Cheltenham horse.

He is going in the right direction though, and this is the perfect next step for him, I think he’s got a really good chance here.

Warwick 14.25 – Harry Senior

Harry Senior is another one who has been running well against good horses all season, and so we took him to Chepstow last month to give him the best chance of getting his head in front, which he did.

He deserved that victory, and now we’ve stepped him back up in class for this Grade 2, the 2m 5f trip should suit and we’re looking forward to running him.

Warwick 15.00 – Darlac

All the jockeys who have ridden him have said he’s been crying out for a go over further, so we’ve really done that here!

He’s got some good novice form, has gained his confidence over fences now, and while this is obviously a very competitive contest, if the marathon trip does suit him – and I think it will – he could be exciting here.

Warwick 15.35 – White Moon

The main aim here is to get White Moon qualified [for the Pertemps Final] for the Festival, so he’ll need to finish in the first eight.

Better ground would suit, but he’d just lost his way over fences so hopefully he’ll have a nice confidence booster over hurdles here, qualify for the Pertemps Final at the same time, and then progress as the season goes on.
