Exeter 2.25 – JPR One & Scarface
The Haldon Gold Cup is a race we’ve done well in previously, and we run two this year. JPR One would be the leading hope, this has been the target for him for a while, and it’s a race we thought would suit him. He will love the decent ground, and his homework has been really good, and with our horses running well generally, we’re really looking forward to running him.
With only six running, we thought Scarface was well worth his place in the lineup. He’s had a run this season so he’s fit, and he’s got a chance of picking up decent prize money. With Harry Cobden on board he’s not here to make up the numbers.
Exeter 3.35 – Striking A Pose
Striking A Pose loves it at Exeter, he’s a winner around here, and he’s another who has had the benefit of a recent run, so he’s very fit. He had just lost his confidence over fences but we got that back with a couple of wins over hurdles, and his schooling at home recently has been great. I think he's overpriced here given how well he's run at the track, and I think he has to have a chance.
