Joe Tizzard: This test of stamina should really suit him

Trainer and Coral ambassador Joe Tizzard discusses the chances of his four runners at Exeter on Sunday.

Exeter 1.30 – I Shut That D’Or

Exeter is a lovely track that we’re always keen to have runners at, and the first of our Sunday quartet is a lovely young chaser. He just picked up a slight injury on his last run, which is why he’s been off a little bit longer than we’d have hoped, but he’s all good again now and we’ll just look to get his confidence back here. I don’t think it will be long before he’s winning over fences.

Exeter 3.10 – Investment Manager

Investment Manager has been in cracking form this summer, winning a couple of times since a wind op and finishing second on his last three runs, so he’s a really consistent sort. That consistency does mean his handicap mark has gone up and we don’t where his ceiling will come, but he’s won around here before and will love the ground, so we’re hopeful of another big run.

Exeter 3.45 – Dylan’s Double & Bala Brook

We run two in the concluding handicap hurdle. Dylan’s Double stayed on really well at Plumpton last time, I can’t wait to go chasing with him, but he’ll improve for that reappearance and I think this test of stamina will suit so I expect him to run really well.

Bala Brook looks to be on a workable handicap mark. He wasn’t right on his last run, but his two seconds before that look decent so a return to that form could see him there or thereabouts.
