Coral ambassador discusses his Saturday rides at Sandown and Chelmsford
He has come from Dermot Weld’s yard in Ireland and he is a lightly-raced. He ran first time out at Sandown where he was very green and little too fresh.
He was much better on his second start of the campaign at Bath where he finished second. The horse which beat him has come out since and has been beaten so the form has taken a little bit of a dent. He will need to come out better than his Bath run.
If he settles, which he needs to learn to do, he will have an each-way chance.
She is a lovely filly who ran at Newbury in one of the Oaks trials. She ran a blinder that day where she beat Star Catcher who went on to win the Irish Oaks.
Unfortunately, she didn’t build upon that last time at Epsom where she had a bad experience. She is stepping down in trip here. Her draw is a little concern as she has stall one and in an ideal world, we don’t want her to lead after what happened at Epsom.
We may need a little luck in running but I believe she has each-way claims. In order to win the race though, things will have to fall perfectly for her.
He has had just the two runs so far. He won nicely last time at Kempton where I was on board. He is probably better than the winning margin.
This is a big step up in class for him. It is a competitive race with Positive and Al Suhail the two which stand out on paper.
John Gosden would not be running our horse in this if he did not feel he was up to it. Hopefully he will run a big race.
I haven’t sat on this filly before but she has a nice pedigree. This will obviously be her first day at school. This is a great track to start her off.
We obviously will just be hoping she gives a good account of herself and we will learn a lot more about her.
He is three from three on the all-weather. The only blip we have had with him was on the turf at Newbury. He is a keen front-runner which will suit him at Chelmsford.
I didn’t ride him last time as he was a four-year-old giving weight to the younger horses and he still won. He is War Front horse and they tend to like the all-weather.
He has an obvious chance but this is another step up the ladder in a competitive race. There is great prize money and I can see him being on the scene.
I am looking forward to riding him.
