4.10 – Nakheel

I haven’t ridden this filly before, but she has run a couple of nice races recently which bodes well for her chances. I think she may need to take another step forward to beat the favourite, Sea Just In Time. We are drawn close to her which helps.

The distance should not be a problem for my filly as she was staying on well at the back end of her race at Newmarket last time out. If she improves for that run, she will have a great each-way chance here.

Yorkshire Oaks Thoughts

Ralph Beckett’s filly, Queen Of The Pride, was impressive at Haydock last time out. It really suited her to be held up for as long as possible. However, the three-year-olds will be getting 9lb from the older horses in this race, and that could prove decisive.

Emily Upjohn is five years old now and she has something to prove on what she has shown this year.

I think Content is the horse I’d like to be riding here if I had my choice. She got hampered three furlongs out and was staying on strongly to the line to get within less than a length of You Got To Me. She can reverse that form here with her rival.
