I think He Has the Class to Get Us to a Winning Start

Goodwood 1.50 – Enfjaar
It’s a quiet start to this big week, with just the one ride on the first day, but it’s a very strong looking ride and one I’m very much looking forward to. Enfjaar has been transformed by being gelded, winning both his starts this year in good style, and he won the John Smith’s Cup at York last time in the manner of a group horse in a handicap, which hopefully he might prove to be.
He's gone up six pounds for that win, which looks fair enough, and the ground will be perfect good ground, so no excuses there. The only slight negative is the draw, over this course and distance I would prefer to be drawn in a single figure stall, and with 18 runners, we will need some luck in running.
As I say, this is a big week, and to get a winner on the board early on would be the best possible start, and this horse is progressing so well I do think he has the class to overcome the draw and his 17 rivals.
