Jeremy Corbyn cut into 2-1 to be next Prime Minister

Jeremy Corbyn has been cut into 2-1 (from 3-1) by leading bookmaker Coral to be the next Prime Minister after the firm saw a flurry of bets this morning following the revelation that the Labour leading is topping a poll on ‘who is best fit to run the country’. David Davis is second best in the betting at 7-2, while Boris Johnson can be backed at 5-1.
Corbyn is set to appear at Glastonbury this weekend for a rally. Coral is offering 5-1 that the Labour leader sings on the stage, while he is 20-1 to be invited on the stage during one of the headline acts.
“This is the first time in his political career that Jeremy Corbyn has topped a poll as being the best fit leader to run the country and on the back of that we have seen a flurry of bets for the him to be the next Prime Minister where he is now the favourite following the gamble,” said Coral’s John Hill.
