Jason Day tops US Masters betting at 6-1

Jason Day heads the betting for the 2016 US Masters at 6-1 with leading bookmaker Coral as the in-form Australian chases his first Green Jacket at Augusta this week. Each-way punters with Coral will pick up six places if betting online, on their mobile or in a shop with their Connect Card and the firm has seen a lot of interest in Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson at 20-1, while Englishman Justin Rose has been popular at 22-1.
After going so close last year, Coral is offering 250-1 for Jordan Spieth to win the Grand Slam in 2016 ahead of the US Masters.
“Although the top three in the betting have not been short of supporters leading into the first major of the year, our biggest liabilities at this stage lie with Mickelson, Rose and Dustin Johnson,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“We’ll be running for cover if Spieth does defend his title as we’ve laid plenty of the 250-1 on offer on the American winning the Grand Slam this year,” added Hill.
