Arsenal midfielder is getting consistent game-time

Jack Wilshere is now odds-on at 4/5 with Coral to make the England squad for the World Cup next summer.

The Arsenal midfielder put in another strong display in Wednesday night’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea, bagging the opening goal of the game.

And the Coral traders have since seen a flurry of bets for the Arsenal midfielder to make England’s 23-man team in Russia.

Coral’s John Hill said: “It wasn’t long ago that Jack Wilshere was one of the first names on the England team-sheet and after his run of games for Arsenal recently, punters feel he will be back in the fold and given a seat on the plan to Russia next summer where he is now odds-on to be in the World Cup squad.”

Meanwhile, Coral can’t separate Jack Butland and Jordan Pickford at 5/6 as to who will start in goal for England in their opening game against Tunisia.

Joe Hart, who has not played recently for West Ham, is now out to 7/1.

“The betting now suggests Jack Butland and Jordan Pickford are fighting out for the number one jersey for England next summer and there is currently nothing to separate the pair.

Joe Hart is out to 7/1 as he must surely get regular first-team football again to be back in the mix,” added Hill.
