ITV Racing Preview: Is Dream of Dreams set for Sprint Cup success?

ITV’s cameras are headed to three meetings on Saturday, with action from Haydock, Ascot and Kempton Park.
Two races really catch the eye this weekend, with a competitive renewal of the Haydock Sprint Cup, while the Group 3 September Stakes boasts Enable among the field, as the mare looks for form before battling for a third Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe in October

Two horses whose promising form took a dip last time out, means we could expect a thrilling run here. Top Rank was unbeaten until his last run at York, where a third-placed finish ended that streak, in what was otherwise a solid showing.
A third-placed finish at Goodwood can be excused for the Britannia Cup winner Khaloosy and he’ll hope to be running at the level he showed at Ascot once more.
Stormy Antarctic impressed as a Group 1 runner-up in France last time out, while My Oberon had an excellent run at Goodwood and was likely to win before serious interference pushed him into second.
Unsurprisingly, Enable is the big favourite here as she prepares to attempt a third Arc win at Longchamp in October. It could also be her final race in the UK as she seeks to repeat her 2018 success in this race.
If you’re looking for each-way options, Prince of Arran stands out from the field, despite a disappointing run in the Ascot Gold Cup last time out. Came third in this race last year and is tipped for another placing finish here.
Dream of Dreams is the favourite here, but a 13-strong field possesses plenty capable of challenging. An impressive showing in the Hungerford stakes at Newbury showed just what he’s capable of.
Last year’s winner Hello Youmzain can’t be overlooked either, having finished above Dream of Dreams in the Ascot’s Diamond Jubilee stakes. He could be ready for a big run.
A small drop in trip and soft running could be ideal for Golden Horde, who found the extra furlong in the Prix Maurice de Gheest a struggle. Nonetheless impressed when winning the Commonwealth Cup back in June and is not to be underestimated.
