Italy and Germany enter Euro 2017 fray

£10 on our Women’s Euros Monday double returns more than £80
> Italy Women -1 Handicap (19/20)
> Germany Women to Win & Both Teams to Score (7/2)
With hosts Netherlands getting off the mark in their opener yesterday attention now turns to Group B, where Italy and Germany have the chance to get their campaigns off to the best possible start.
Italy take on Russia in the 5pm kick off at the Sparta Stadion Het Kasteel in Rotterdam and the 3/10 on offer for the Azzurre to get three points suggests it should be an easy night for Antonio Cabrini’s team.
That price is obviously too short to take in a double though, so we go in search of some value from the handicap market, where you can back Italy (-1.0) at a much more tantalising 19/20.
Head to head favours Italians
Italy have met Russia a total of three times in the European Championships, with all three games ending in a comfortable 2-0 win for the Azzurre. If you think that form will continue, another 2-0 win for the Italians tonight is priced at 9/2.
What will be more worrying for Russian fans however, is that when their side gets beat, they really get beat. Out of their last 12 defeats (which have come in their last 17 games), no fewer than 11 have come by a margin of more than one goal. Considering Italy cruised to a 3-0 friendly win between the nations back in December, the -1 handicap looks the smart play here.
Germans too strong for Swedes
Germany face Sweden at the Rat Verlegh Stadion in Breda in the evening kick off (7.45pm) and it could be an entertaining encounter.
Die Nationalelf are the unsurprising favourites to win the entire tournament, having won the last six Euros on the trot. Although Sweden have a strong squad, which includes Lotta Schelin and Caroline Seger, they’ll struggle to contain this Germany side.
Steffi Jones’ team are the 4/7 favourites to win the match and that’s understandable, with Germany winning seven of the last eight encounters between the two nations.
In the last five clashes, both teams have found the net, which is a generous 27/20 here, but we’re backing Germany to Win & BTTS at a lovely 7/2 to bump up the odds of our double significantly.
So, don’t forget to get yourself over to Coral and back our 7.8/1 Women’s Euros double before it’s too late. Remember, the first kick off is at 5pm!
