Is Colombia hitman Carlos Bacca Manchester United bound?

Manchester United (7/2 with Coral in Premier League betting without Chelsea) could be set to make a move for Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca this summer, with the Red Devils supposedly ready to refresh their attacking options.
The Bathtubs frontman (2/1 to fire home anytime against Zenit St Petersburg) has proven a formidable force in La Liga this season, snatching 17 goals in 32 appearances, and apparently attracting attention from Europe’s elite.
These numbers are nothing new for the Sevilla sharpshooter, though, as Bacca also bagged 21 across all competitions last term, and boasted impressive stats for former sides Club Brugge and Atletico Junior.
Bullish Bacca famously began his career with Colombian club Atletico Junior, nicknamed ‘The Kings of the Coast’, whilst also working a second job as a bus driver’s assistant.
Now, just nine seasons later, the Coffee Growers’ goal machine has been capped 17 times for his country, and could line up for a Premier League club next campaign.
Colombian hitman Bacca, who scored a crucial penalty in Sevilla’s Europa League final shootout last season, could be a crafty capture by Louis van Gaal. Though the 28-year-old may be wiser to look elsewhere if he expects a regular starting spot, as skipper Wayne Rooney has cemented the lone striker role.
Man Utd may, however, require a back-up summer striking recruit, as Dutch dangerman Robin van Persie, Monaco-owned flop Radamel Falcao and Mexico marksman Javier Hernandez have all been linked with an Old Trafford exit.
Should Van Gaal decide Bacca is to be his forward of choice, however, the former Clockwork Orange coach may have to fend of interest in the forward from AC Milan, Arsenal and Liverpool, who are also mooted to be keen on the Colombian.
Bacca recently spoke to media about the speculation, telling Italian press: “I am feeling very well here and I am not thinking about a transfer. Things are going well for me and for the team.
“Then again, if Sevilla need to sell me or decide to cash in, we will sit down to discuss matters and evaluate any offers.”
The Bathtubs (3/1 to retain the Europa League) currently have Bacca tied to a contract until 2018. However, according to reports he could cost just £15m, making the prolific South American poacher a potential bargain buy.
