Hull FC tackle Widnes Vikings in Super League clash

After a sensational victory on Magic Weekend, which saw the Airlie Birds thrash fierce cross-city rivals Hull KR 46-20, Lee Radford’s side will be gunning for the Vikings in their latest Super League clash.
The Humberside outfit are 5/4 with Coral to record a win over the Vikings for what would be the second time this season, after beating Denis Betts’ side 22-8 earlier in the campaign.
In that match, Tom Lineham crossed for a hat-trick and Hull’s top-scorer is odds-on at 8/13 to pick four points up again anytime. Meanwhile, all eyes will be on Fetuli Talanoa, after he did the same last time out at St James’ Park, also getting the man-of-the-match award. He is evens to score anytime.
Speaking after the victory over Hull KR, Talanoa said: “I felt I owed my team-mates a good performance.
“Personally I hold myself accountable for my performances. I owed KR a good performance too. It’s awesome to score a hat-trick in the derby. To get the two points as well is a special feeling.
“I had to turn up and play this week. Everyone was really focused across the pitch and were on their game.”
Widnes, meanwhile, ran out 38-16 winners over Salford on Magic Weekend, and had a hat-trick hero themselves, in Kevin Brown, who is evens in the anytime scorer market.
Vikings coach Betts talked up his skipper’s performance following the victory and will be hoping for more of the same against the Humberside outfit.
“We’re competing against sides around us at the moment, which makes these matches really important,” said the Widnes coach, Denis Betts. “We need to keep building and keep going because we’re putting a good run together.
“Kevin’s enjoying playing at the moment, and the platform we’re laying around him really helps.”
Meanwhile, Patrick Ah Van also crossed for a brace in Newcastle, and is 8/1 to breach the in-goal area first in the match.
