Tom Scudamore: “Everything points towards a big run from Remastered”
Jockey and Coral ambassador Tom Scudamore previews his rides at Kempton on Tuesday.
I’m looking forward to another busy day at Kempton with four rides on the card.
The action just keeps coming thick and fast at this time of year but it’s certainly made easier when you have some nice horses to look forward to.
He was a decent horse on the flat and he managed to win a handicap at Newbury off a mark of 69, so he certainly has ability.
He’s schooled very well at home, and everything he’s shown would suggest he can make a hurdler, so I’m looking forward to getting on him.
Ben Brookhouse has only recently had his first runners as a trainer but he’s somebody I’ve known a long time having ridden for his dad and he was assistant to Ian Williams, so we’ve worked together before.
He’s had a few hit the crossbar so far so it would be great to be able to give him his first winner.
He’s a solid performer but he’s certainly got a bit to find with the likes of Edwardstone and Nube Negra.
He does also need to bounce back from a below-par effort at Aintree over hurdles last time but the plan was always to switch him between chasing and hurdling and try and take advantage of his novice status over hurdles.
He’s always been a better chaser than a hurdler, so hopefully we can pick up some good prize money.
He obviously ran a cracking race at Newbury in the Coral Gold Cup and he’s one I’m really looking forward to.
Le Milos wins the Coral Gold Cup Handicap Chase in what was an absolute thriller.

He has won right-handed before at Carlisle and Ascot and even though he was staying-on well last time, I don’t have any worries about him coming back in trip on this sharper track.
With it being the second day, they will have probably chewed the ground up a fair bit so everything points towards a big run from him.
He’s another horse having his first start for Ben Brookhouse and I did win on him at Ludlow last year, he put up a really good performance that day.
He did lose his way a bit over fences after that but he did run in some hot races.
This does look a competitive contest but he ran some nice races over hurdles as a novice when he was with Henry de Bromhead, so hopefully he can go well at a big price.
