Royal Ascot odds-on not to take place as scheduled
There’s a 2/1 chance that it goes ahead behind closed doors
It’s now odds-on that Royal Ascot doesn’t take place as scheduled in June, according to our traders.
The Ascot showpiece is due to be held from June 16-20 this year, with the government giving the green light for professional sport to resume from June 1st.
However, we go 4/11 that the meet doesn’t take place on the planned dates.
It’s now 2/1 that it does go ahead as originally planned, but behind closed doors.
“Racing fans will have been disappointed by the news that the sport cannot return this month, and that decision will mean changes to the amended fixture list that could result in Royal Ascot moving from its scheduled start date of June 16th,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
Will Royal Ascot take place on June 16th?
4/11 – No
2/1 – Yes
