Latest odds ahead of the National Hunt season

Nicky Henderson and Richard Johnson are odds-on to win the National Hunt Trainers’ Championship and National Hunt Jockeys’ Championship respectively, according to our latest odds.

With the season due to get started at Southwell tomorrow, Henderson is 4/7 favourite to retain his Trainers’ Championship title. His great rival Paul Nicholls is 4/7 second-favourite, with Colin Tizzard and Willie Mullins next at 25/1.

In the National Hunt Jockeys’ Championship betting, Johnson leads the way at 8/11. Brian Hughes is 6/4 to defend his crown.

“It may be a later start to the new jumps season than planned, but two familiar names head the betting to be crowned champion trainer, with old rivals Nicky Henderson and Paul Nicholls dominating, while Richard Johnson is odds-on to win back the title he lost to Brian Hughes last season,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
