Coral to become title sponsor of Newbury’s feature jumps meeting including Coral Gold Cup
Newbury Racecourse and Entain Group have today announced an exciting new commercial relationship between the two parties that sees Coral as title sponsor of the two-day Coral Gold Cup Meeting at the end of November in a three-year deal.
Coral will sponsor 13 races over the two days on Friday November 25 and Saturday November 26, with the feature being the prestigious handicap chase known for almost 60 years as the Hennessy Gold Cup and more recently The Ladbrokes Trophy.
The £250,000 showpiece will have the ‘Gold Cup’ reinstated into its title to become the Coral Gold Cup with a new perpetual trophy created for the winning owner.
Coral has strengthened its portfolio of sponsored races and betting partnerships in recent months to cement its position as the longest-standing and most committed sponsor in British Racing.
This exciting sponsorship of the Coral Gold Cup meeting at Newbury will become one of the brand’s flagship sponsorships, sitting alongside The Coral-Eclipse, Coral Welsh Grand National and Coral Scottish Grand National, along with its official betting partnerships with Glorious Goodwood and the St Leger meeting.
Innovation and engagement will be at the heart Coral’s activation of the sponsorship, in keeping with its ambition of getting customers closer to the action.
To that end, Coral with its partner JockeyCam Ltd will be bringing the Coral Virtual Race Experience Stage to Newbury, giving racegoers the chance to experience what it’s like to race over the fences of one of the most historic handicap chases in the country.
