Lord North odds cut to win Coral-Eclipse
Odds slashed to 4/1 after impressive victory at Royal Ascot
Prince of Wales’s Stakes winner Lord North’s odds have been cut from 12/1 down to 4/1 for victory in next month’s Coral-Eclipse at Sandown.
The four-year-old gelding, trained by John Gosden, raced clear and finished just under four lengths ahead of second placed Addeybb.
Lord North’s stablemate Enable still heads the Sandown betting at 11/10, looking to win a second Coral-Eclipse in a row.
Coronation Cup winner Ghaiyyath is next up at 3/1, with the unplaced favourite in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes Japan out at 8s.
Coral’s David Stevens said: “Even without any runners from the Classic generation, this year’s Coral-Eclipse is shaping up to be a cracker, with Enable favourite to win the race again but some top class rivals lining up to take her on.”
11/10 Enable, 3/1 Ghaiyyath, 4/1 Lord North, 8/1 Japan, 10/1 King Of Change, 12/1 Magical, 14/1 Barney Roy, Deirdre, 16/1 Headman, Sangarius
