Joe Tizzard: “We’ve always had this race in mind for Triple Trade”
Coral ambassador Joe Tizzard gives the lowdown on the team’s Saturday runners
Triple Trade is a lovely young horse who won nicely at Lingfield in January. We always had this final in mind for him, so we needed to get him qualified, which we did at Exeter last time.
Qualification was the aim so we weren’t that disappointed he didn’t win that day, as I say this was the target, it’s a competitive race as you’d expect, but he’s a progressive young horse who I give an each-way chance too.
I think Killer Kane wants decent ground, so hopefully the course won’t get too much rain, as the current good would be perfect.
He won nicely at Kempton last time but I hope he’s still a well-handicapped horse. Although there are only six runners it’s another competitive little contest, but I do think he’s capable of winning a pot like this at some stage.

Sandown 4.10 – Ofalltheginjoints
Ofalltheginjoints lost his way a little bit, so he’s had a wind op, and while he did run OK at Kempton last time, I just want to see him put two good races together before I’d regain all my confidence in him.
He’s a horse with ability, although he might just prefer a flat track, we’re just hoping he can build on his last run with another good show here.
Looking ahead to Cheltenham….
We’re only days away from the Festival now, and as far as all the hard work is concerned, we’re nearly there.
The Cheltenham runners all had their last schooling session on Wednesday, and they’ve all done their last pieces of serious work, so now it’s just a case of keeping them ticking over, and keeping everything crossed!
We’ve had a few winners this week, which is a positive ahead of such an important week, and the Cheltenham horses all seem in good form.
As far as some of the decisions we still have to make, we have left Lostintranslation in the Ryanair, just in case Cheltenham gets a bit of rain ahead of Tuesday’s Ultima, which remains his first choice, but we know he needs a better surface so have kept the option of Thursday open.
Fiddlerontheroof won’t run next week, he’ll go straight to Aintree, while we intend running both Elixir De Nutz and Amarillo Sky in the Grand Annual.
Oscar Elite has a few entries, but I would love it if he sneaked into the Ultima, I think he’d be really interesting in that.
