Joe Tizzard: “He’s in the best form he has been for some time”

Trainer and Coral ambassador Joe Tizzard discusses his one runner at the Cheltenham Festival on Wednesday.

With the rain falling earlier in the week, we made the fairly easy decision to run Elixir De Nutz in the Grand Annual, rather than in Thursday’s Plate. It will be a fast run two miles contest, which should really suit him.

He is in the best form he has been for some time, and I was very happy with the way he ran at Newbury in graded company last time. Dropping him back into handicap company – albeit a fiercely competitive one – was always the plan, and I am excited by his prospects.
