Joe Tizzard: “So Said I can be competitive against the boys”

| 17.12.2021

Coral ambassador Joe Tizzard previews the stable’s Saturday runners at Ascot

Ascot 12.40 – So Said I

So Said I won nicely at Exeter last time and also picked up a decent bonus prize for being a British-bred mare, a £20,000 bonus like that is fantastic for the owners.

The third horse that day has come out and won as well, so hopefully the form is OK. She’s taking on the boys here but it’s another bonus race and off her current mark I hope she can be competitive.

Ascot 1.50 – Slate House

Slate House is a bit of a head-scratcher at the moment as he’s just not finishing his races. We’ve put the blinkers on him for the first time, which we’re hoping will make a difference.

He’s back over fences here, and all the signs he’s showing us at home are great but we need to get to the bottom of why he’s not seeing out his races and hopefully the blinkers will bring about that change.
