Jim Crowley: “I’d be confident of a big run from Moshaawer here”
Coral ambassador previews his three rides at Newmarket on Friday
Newmarket 1.15 – Azaheer
Future Champions weekend begins on Azaheer in the Fillies’ maiden. She’s a Shadwell homebred with a lovely pedigree, and although I haven’t sat on her at home, I understand she’s been going nicely.
These Newmarket maidens at this time of year can throw up some decent horses, so I’ll just be hoping for a nice introduction from my filly and hopefully she can progress from this run. We’ll certainly learn more about her.
Newmarket 2.25 – Allayaali
I missed the winning ride on Allayaali at Doncaster last time as I was on my way to A&E!
She did it nicely that day to earn this step up into Group class and although she has got to progress again, she is a filly with plenty of scope so I’d be hopeful of a good run from her.
Newmarket 4.10 – Moshaawer
Moshaawer is a lovely big Frankel horse who I really like and have done since his single run as a two-year-old, when he finished behind Scope.
He ran a cracking race to finish second in the Melrose at York on his last run, he stays well, he’s a big strong horse who can carry the weight, and I’d be confident of a big run from him here.
