Jim Crowley: “Mutasaabeq is in great form so I am hopeful of a bold show”
Coral ambassador Jim Crowley discusses his six rides at Goodwood on Saturday
This filly has had just the three runs so far and prevailed on two of those starts.
She ran very well last time out at Newbury in a Listed race.
I expect her to handle a little juice in the ground and she has been drawn nicely in stall three.
Fairy Cross looks the one to beat but I think my filly comes into this race with a good chance.
I won on this horse on his first victory at Kempton back in 2016.
He then went on to score in the Rockingham. He is a lovely old campaigner who was off for a while but has returned showing all his enthusiasm for racing back in June.
If he repeats his run at Pontefract, where he finished a close second, he could run well at a big price.
He likes Goodwood and he is dropping down in class.
He has been running well all year. The only sort of blip was Epsom where he lost a front shoe and didn’t handle the track.
He ran well last time at Ascot where he was just touched off by Chindit. This is a lot weaker race than when he ran in this last year.
The horse is in good form and I am hopeful of a bold show.
Coral’s John Hill said: “Mutasaabeq has been very consistent this season and he tops the betting to get his nose in front in the Celebration Mile at Goodwood.”
I don’t know much about this horse. She is obviously making her debut on the track.
Tom Ward’s horses seem to be doing well. She is a half-sister to Spanish Angel.
Hopefully she will make a good start to her career.
This mare is bidding to complete her hat-trick.
I rode her to victory at Newbury over this distance. She then successfully followed that up at Ffos Las.
I really like her. She is a big strong mare. I will be disappointed if she did not win.
This horse is declared to run at Ffos Las on Friday so obviously if he features there, we won’t see him at Goodwood.
He is by Lope De Vega, so he prefers a little cut in the ground.
