Coral ambassador Jim Crowley gives us the lowdown on his rides on day three of Royal Ascot and reflects on his success on board Baaeed in the Queen Anne Stakes.

3.05 Royal Ascot – Israr

Israr won at Newbury last time and is now stepping up in distance, which should really help.

He is going to have an excellent chance. My only concern is that he wouldn’t want it too quick but they are putting a lot of water on the track.

He is extremely well-bred by Taghrooda. I am really looking forward to riding him.

3.40 Royal Ascot – Mukaddamah

Mukaddamah is improving all the time and is in great form at home.

She is stepping up to 1m4f and she is drawn nicely in stall one. Roger [Varian] is very happy with her and I think she will go close.

We fell just short in this race 12 months ago with Eshaada and this filly has a similar profile.

5.00 Royal Ascot – Wanees

He was very impressive last time at Sandown on his handicap debut.

This horse is quite keen and a big field like this should suit him as they will go a nice gallop.

He has won at Ascot before on fast ground, which obviously a big plus. This was always the plan after he won at Sandown, so we are hopeful.

Baaeed

It was such a great feeling to win the Queen Anne on board Baaeed.

It was great to start the week so well in the first race of the meeting. It wasn’t the strongest 1m race, however, he did it nicely.

He is never going to be a horse who wins by 10 lengths, he only just does enough when he hits the front, very much like his sire Sea The Stars.

It was a great feeling and I am delighted to win the Queen Anne, which is such a prestigious race. I had been unlucky in it before but now I have finally won it.
