Our trader Barrie Bushell previews Tuesday’s action in Paris

The French racing action moves the short distance west from Longchamp, over the Seine to Saint-Cloud for Tuesday’s 11-race card which gets underway at 10:10.

We may not see the likes of any of the Group contests whichwe enjoyed on Longchamp’s card, but we’ve still got several interestingcontests to look ahead to.

Prix Kashmir II (11:10)

The 11:10 is a contest for unraced three-year-old colts andgeldings. Some of the top stables are represented with Andre Fabre introducingthree newcomers, including a Karakontie colt, Undark, who fetched$250,000 as a foal at the Keeneland sales.

Fabre also trains Westeros, by Kingman, whorepresents the powerful owners Al Shaqab Racing. Others of interest look to be VascoDe Gama, a €300,000 Dansili colt out of a mare who was Group Threeplaced. There’s also Whaze, by New Approach, who is out of a Group Twowinning dam.

Prix Praline (11:40)

This is the fillies equivalent of the Prix Kashmir II. Thereare again some nice pedigrees on show here, but one that really takes the eyeis Godolphin’s Joyous Sounds.

Sired by American thoroughbred Medaglia d’Oro, she cost theDubai-based operation $1m and comes from the family of Ribblesdale Stakeswinner Irresistible Jewel.

Perhaps, ridden by Christophe Soumillon, and theCoolmore owned Rose D’Etoile also look to be worthy of consideration.

Prix Tourbillon (14:00)

One of two other conditions races further down the card, with the Prix Tourbillon over an extended 10 furlongs.

This race sees the reappearance of the exciting Enzel, who won his only start in November by a huge distance.

It could be that he was the only runner to handle thedesperately heavy ground on the Saint-Cloud course that day, or he could be apotential star. This race should tell us more about him.

Prix Durban (14:35)

In a field with only seven fillies, the form choice looks tobe Anobar. She’s yet to run a bad race but somehow remains a maidenafter nine starts.

She posted an excellent third last March when seen in thelisted Prix La Camargo and looks to have a favourite’s chance on the formshowed that day.

Compiegne winner Vienne, trained by Jean-ClaudeRouget, looks to be her main rival.
