Ghaiyyath 5/4 favourite to win Juddmonte International
Charlie Appleby-trained five-year-old looking for a hat-trick of Group 1 wins
Ghaiyyath has been placed as the 5/4 favourite to win the Juddmonte International Stakes at York later this month, according to our traders.
The five-year-old is looking for a hat-trick of Group 1 victories in 2020 following impressive wins in the Coronation Cup at Newmarket and Sandown’s Coral-Eclipse.
14 entries have been made for the race so far, with Lord North and Magical joint-second favourites in the betting at 4/1.
Elsewhere, 2,000 Guineas winner Kameko is a 5/1 shot, with St James’s Palace Stakes winner Palace Pier 9/1 to make it two Group 1 triumphs on the spin.
Coral’s John Hill said: “It has been a faultless campaign so far for Ghaiyyath and after his success in the Coral-Eclipse, he is a warm favourite to make it a hat-trick of wins at the top level on the Knavesmire.”
