Fabre duo head French Guineas betting
French racing is set to restart next week
Andre Fabre’s duo Victor Ludorum and Earthlight are leading the way in the betting for the Poule D’Essai Des Poulains.
Paris police have given the green light for racing to resume on 11th May and the French 2,000 Guineas will be among the first of the French Classics to take place.
Fabre trained Persian King to victory in last year’s race and he could taste glory again this time around, with Victor Ludorum and Earlight going at 11/4 and 7/2 respectively.
“It remains to be seen whether or not overseas runners will be able to line up in the opening two French Classics,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
“But even if they can travel, they will face an extremely strong twin-pronged Andre Fabre challenge in the Poulains, with his two unbeaten Group One winners heading the market.”
