Earthlight favourite for French 2,000 Guineas win

Tropbeau heads the betting for the French 1,000 Guineas
Earthlight has been placed as the new 7/2 favourite to win the French 2,000 Guineas at ParisLongchamp, with Tropbeau the 2/1 favourite in the 1,000 Guineas.
After Earthlight’sstablemate Victor Ludorum lost his unbeaten record on his seasonal return, theformer favourite has been eased to 4/1 to victory in the colts’ Classic.
The surprise winnerof the Prix De Fontaineblue, The Summit, is the joint third favourite to winalongside Alson and Ecrivain.
Coral’s DavidStevens said: “Victor Ludorum had been a warm favourite for the French 2,000Guineas ahead of his seasonal reappearance, but a third-place finish whenodds-on at Longchamp has seen his fellow unbeaten Andre Fabre-trained colt,Earthlight, replace him as Classic favourite.”
In the French 1,000Guineas, Tropbeau has had her odds shortened to 2/1 for the victory after thefilly made a winning return to action in the Prix De La Grotte.
Simeen is priced upat 8/1 as the second favourite, with five runners joint third at 10/1.
Stevens added:“Unlike her Andre Fabre-trained stablemate, Victor Ludorum, Tropbeau was awinner on her return to action, and as a result has consolidated her positionas favourite for the French 1,000 Guineas.”
Elsewhere, Sottsass has been eased to 20/1 to win the Qatar Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe in October, after last season’s big race third was well beaten on his season return.
Enable remains the 6/1 favourite for a third win in the race ahead of her St Leger-winning stablemate Logician, who is priced at 14/1.
