Cyrname favourite to claim King George revenge

Cyrname is the favourite to go one better and win this year’s Ladbrokes King George VI Chase.

The race takes place at Kempton on Boxing Day and Clan Des Obeaux is looking to claim a hat-trick in the iconic race.

But stablemate Cyrname, who finished second last year, has been priced as the 2/1 favourite to win this season’s edition.

Clan Des Obeaux can be backed at 9/4, while Irish-trained pair Allaho and Monalee are next in the betting at 10/1 apiece.

“Although Clan Des Obeaux is going for the King George hat-trick, and he had Cyrname well behind him in second twelve months ago, we narrowly favour the former to turn the tables on his stablemate, as he may well be heading to Kempton with the better preparation this time around,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
