Horse Racing Trader’s Tips: Dieppe – Friday 22nd May

Our trader highlights who to look out for

All eyes will be on the jumpers on Friday as Dieppe hosts the feature meeting of the day in France.

The meeting has been transferred from Compiegne and our expert Matt Trounce has run the rule over the day’s best prospects.

Race of the day

The best race of the day comes at 13:07 with the Prix Romati, which Hell Boy is the current favourite for.

He’s not raced since March, where he impressed on his chasing debut, and he’s made a seamless transition from hurdles under French Champion trainer Francois Nicolle, proving he should be hard to beat.

Who to watch

After starting his career racing in the UK, James Reveley has established himself in the world of French racing and he teams up with Garrance Forever in the day’s first race at 10:30. After just missing out on her debut, she’s looking to make it two wins from three having romped home on her last outing.

David Cottin has a couple of interesting runners in the Prix Melinoir at 13:41, with Pesk Ebrel making a comeback following almost two years off the track. Cottin will also send out Kobrouk who has returned to France after suffering a loss of form under Nicky Henderson.
