Hornets to irritate Villa, Everton pop Cherries, Potters crack Mackems

Aston Villa v Watford
- Premier League
- Saturday, November 28th
- Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
- Villa Park, Birmingham
It’s hard to know what to make of Premier League side Aston Villa. After they impressed against Manchester City in Remi Garde’s first game in charge, they went and got battered by Everton last week.
The key for Villa is not conceding, as they can’t seem to find the net with any regularity at the other end. They are 17/10 to win this game with Coral but with just 10 goals scored this term – a league low – and a failure to find the net in six league clashes, getting behind them drawing a blank again at 2/1 makes sense.
Watford are a side built on defensive solidarity. They’ve kept the opposition out five times already in this campaign and facing the goal-shy West Midlanders will not worry them. The Hornets are 15/8 for the three points but a win to nil at 17/5 appeals more.
Bournemouth v Everton
- Premier League
- Saturday, November 28th
- Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
- Dean Court, Bournemouth
Everton are on the crest of a wave after their demolition of Villa last time out and the youthful triumvirate of Ross Barkley, Gerard Deloufeu and Romelu Lukaku all looked inspired in that clash. They are 31/20 to oust Bournemouth on the south coast, where the Cherries have failed to win in three outings.
Lukaku is the main man for the Toffees. He now has nine strikes in the top flight and will be licking his lips at the prospect of facing a side who have just one clean sheet all season. The big Belgian justifies interest at 9/2 to be first on the scoresheet.
With a creaky defence and 15 goals conceded in their last five, Bournemouth being breached over 2.5 times at 19/5 looks worthy of consideration.
It’s been a case of attractive football but a lack of points for Eddie Howe’s 15/8 shots, and the best they can hope for really is a draw at 23/10 but even that looks unlikely against the Merseysiders.
Sunderland v Stoke City
- Premier League
- Saturday, November 28th
- Kick-off: 15:00 GMT
- Stadium of Light, Sunderland
It was vintage Sam Allardyce on Monday at Crystal Palace. His side defended like Trojans and then punished a mistake from the opposing side to grab a narrow away victory. The style shouldn’t change much despite Sunderland being the hosts here in a match they are 11/5 to win.
Expect the Mackems to sit back against 29/20 shouts Stoke, who will most likely see the vast majority of the ball.
The Potters have carved a niche as a very good outfit on the road in 2015/16, something unusual for a side so renowned for their intimidating fortress in Staffordshire. They are five undefeated and four victories from five on their travels, with just one goal conceded in that period.
In fact, all four of those wins have been by a result of 1-0, a repeat of which is available at 11/2 here.
The home side have just a single victory at the Stadium of Light this season and lost by that scoreline last time they played in front of their own fans.
