Some serious pointers to a big price winner
Sky Sports Super Sunday is headlined by proceedings at Stamford Bridge where Premier League leaders Chelsea welcome lowly Hull to London for a 4.30pm start.
18-places stand between these sides in the current charts and Chelsea will be hoping that will be reflected in the final-score. Coral traders certainly expect that to be the case, with the locals priced as 2/11 favourites for a maximum pay-out, at the time of writing.
There’s little doubt that is a decent enough offer, all things considered. Hull need all hands on deck
Hull have enough to worry about going to the home of the league leaders, being stuck in the relegation zone themselves, but the news that top scorer Robert Snodgrass is an injury doubt is just about the worst pre-match news fans could imagine. Everything good about The Tigers’ play comes through the determined Scotsman, and they will give him right up until kick-off to prove his ability to be involved.
Hull enter their 22nd match of the season with only one side below them in the table, Sunderland, but have just two points to find to match the pace of safety. Swansea beat Liverpool on Saturday and hauled themselves clear of the bottom three. Surely a Hull win would rate as an even bigger upset.
In their last 10 outings Hull have managed just one win, over Bournemouth, but that did come last time out. Both teams have scored in each of Hull’s last three starts, and that outcome again may appeal to punters looking to avoid the match betting market, with 29/20 a handy alternative.
Follow the signs
It’s difficult to see past Chelsea in their current shape. They have confidence, and goals, right through the team, and will have a go at their nervy visitors, who will be happy to sit back and absorb pressure. I can’t ignore that stat of four 2-0 Chelsea wins in five meetings and 24/5 looks a cracking bet.
