High-flying Hammers holding Javier Hernandez hope

West Ham United will aim to secure the signing of Manchester United’s out-of-favour forward Javier Hernandez next summer, once his loan spell at Spanish giants Real Madrid comes to a close.
The Hammers, 11/1 with Coral for a top six finish, are reportedly keen to add the Mexican marksman to their ranks for next season, as a potentially potent pairing with towering target man Andy Carroll appears to be on Sam Allardyce’s mind.
Mexico’s record goalscorer is currently on loan at reigning European champions Madrid for the season, after Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal offloaded his unwanted attacker last year.
With only 18 months remaining on his Old Trafford contract, and the Galacticos unlikely to want to make Chicharito’s temporary move permanent, West Ham will consider swooping for his services in the summer.

In the 2012/13 campaign Hernandez struck 21 goals, including three Confederations Cup efforts for Mexico, but since Ferguson’s departure from Old Trafford the forward has been shipped to Spain and struggled to regain form.
During his time in the Spanish top flight, ‘the Little Pea’ has managed to score only four times in 18 outings, but has been extremely limited in starting appearances due to the attacking wealth in Madrid’s squad.
Frenchman Karim Benzema is Ancelotti’s first-choice striker, with superstars Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo also keeping Hernandez out of the Madrid line-up.
West Ham could offer United’s misfiring marksman a route out of Old Trafford, with the Hammers available at 11/1 to secure an FA Cup coup this term.
