Hibbott and Farnsworth seek success in coveted Coral English Open

After a couple of months off since Wales to recharge their batteries, regroup, and get back on to the practice tables, the best eight-ball pool players will be back in action this weekend from Friday to Sunday at the Coral supported English Open from the Bradford Hotel in the heart of the city.
Three days of intense cue action will certainly offer up plenty of betting opportunities from Coral with three tournaments with outrights, plus match betting on the live stream pair-ups.
Many see The English Open as the main event, with both amateurs and professionals locked in battle for the kudos and prize fund. The odds range from 7/2 at the top to 150/1 for the remaining competitors, though if the pool Gods are smiling on you, strange things happen and even stranger results can occasionally ensue.
Marc Farnsworth tops the current IPA Rankings and is the shortest priced runner in both the Open and the professional events at 7/2, with Dan Davy, who beat him in the final in Wales, currently available at a sorely tempting 12/1 for the Open. Though don’t be surprised if that price is snapped up pretty quickly!
Hibbott a tempting price?
Any number of others seem likely to be competitive if the pool Gods look favourably on their chances, therefore the 9/1 price on current world champion Gareth Hibbott looks tempting. That can also be said for the 16/1 on runner-up Craig Marsh, but just like all the cue stars, they will need both skill and the run of the balls with so little between the elite players.
In the amateurs, Scott Gillespie heads the market at a pretty generous 7/1, but that only reminds us all how open it is, and Chris Bowron stands out at a more generous 14/1, but it’s a tough one to call!
On to the weekend and three days of intense competition will see some high quality pool as always, and available here on the HD quality live streams for your delight, with pre-event prices and player versus player betting on the streaming table for those who like their action fast and furious, and their bets the same.
A room full of pool tables provides a rich variety of characters as well as a lot of colour and even more noise, though just so punters know, the live streaming will not start until Saturday – after the coveted IPA Awards take place.
