Published:Tottenham Hotspur striker has eight league goals this season
After his prolific start to the Premier League season, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is the new 10/3 favourite to win this year’s Golden Boot.
Kane scored another goal in Spurs 2-0 win over Arsenal in the North London Derby on Sunday, taking his tally up to eight for the season, while also managing 10 assists.
Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin currently sits three goals ahead of Kane with 11 so far, but the Toffees forward is 11/2 in the betting.
Mohamed Salah and Jamie Vardy both added to their tallies over the weekend too, scoring against Wolves and Sheffield United respectively.
The pair split Kane and Calvert-Lewin in the betting, with Salah a 7/2 shot while last year’s winner Vardy is 5/1 to retain his title.
Kane’s strike partner Son Heung-min is only one goal behind Calvert-Lewin but is out at 8/1 to continue his good form and win the Golden Boot.
Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “It’s shaping up to be a really hotly contested race for the golden boot this season with goals flying in from the big names every weekend. However, we now make Kane the favourite to come out on top.”
