Harrogate Town v Salford City Betting Tips: Goals galore between play-off rivals?
Published:Odds and tips for National League clash
The international break might be over, but there’s no let-up in the National League.
Harrogate Town host Salford City in a six-pointer tonight, with both clubs right in the play-off mix.
A win for the visitors would see them climb above Wrexham into third – and the second play-off semi-final spot.
But Harrogate can’t afford to slip up, with Eastleigh and Ebbsfleet United chasing them in sixth. They’d join Salford on 70 points if they get the victory.

Head-to-Head
Salford have tended to have the better of the previous seven meetings between these sides. They’ve won each of the last three games, including a 3-2 triumph at Moor Lane in November.
There have also been three draws, with Harrogate’s only win a 3-0 victory in a FA Trophy third-round qualifying replay in 2016.
Likely XIs
Harrogate don’t have any fresh injury concerns, so Simon Weaver could stick with the side that fought back from 2-0 down to get a draw at Barrow last weekend.
Salford boss Graham Alexander could bring Ibou Touray back into the starting XI. The left-back missed the draw with Barnet while away on international duty.
Key Battles
Salford have been rock solid at the back lately, with five straight clean sheets. But they’ll be seriously tested by the league’s most potent attacking side.
Jack Muldoon and Mark Beck are both huge threats for Town, bagging 24 league goals between them so far this term.
Josh Falkingham will look to run the game from the middle of the park. Salford will need to shut him down to get the points.
If they keep him quiet, they’ll look to get the ball into Adam Rooney. The former Aberdeen striker has struggled to hit the back of the net lately, but you’d fancy him to go on a scoring run if he just gets one.
Match Odds
There’s very little to split the two sides. Home advantage could make the difference, with Town narrow 29/20 favourites. Salford are just behind at 17/10. There’s 9/4 about the points being shared.
These are the two highest-scoring sides in the division. And with that in mind, we’ve got Both Teams to Score at 4/6, with 21/10 for Over 3.5 Goals. A repeat of the 3-2 home win from their last meeting is going for 25/1.
Rooney is 4/1 favourite to open the scoring, with Harrogate duo Muldoon and Beck both at 9/2.
Rory Gaffney has chipped in with 11 league goals this term. The Salford forward is 2/1 to net at any point.
