Great Britain 2-9 to win Davis Cup final

Published:

Great Britain are odds-on at 2-9 with leading bookmaker Coral to win the 2015 Davis Cup ahead of their clash with Belgium in the final which begins tomorrow in Ghent. The hosts, on the other hand, are 10-3 to cause a surprise by getting the better of Leon Smith’s team in front of their home supports.

In the opening singles match, David Goffin is 1-6 to get Belgium off to a winning start, with Kyle Edmund available at 4-1. Later in the afternoon, Andy Murray is as short as 1-50 to defeat Ruben Bemelmans in the second tie of the final.

“The odds suggest Great Britain are warm favourites to win their first Davis Cup since 1936. We very much expect the scoreline to be 1-1 after day one so the doubles game on Saturday could be the key where the Murray brothers will start as favourites to pick up the crucial point,” said Coral’s John Hill
