Will Tiger Roll win the Grand National in 2020?
Tiger Roll emulated Red Rum by recording back-to-back Grand National wins at Aintree on Saturday. Could he now eclipse the legendary horse with a hat-trick of wins in the race?
The Coral traders aren’t ruling it out. They go 8/1 that Gordon Elliott’s charge completes the unprecedented and historic feat in the 2020 Grand National.
Not even Red Rum could manage three in a row. The Ginger McCain-trained steeplechaser had a three-year wait between his second win in the race in 1974 and his third in 1977.
Coral PR man David Stevens said, “Although owner Michael O’Leary has said a third attempt at the great race in 2020 is unlikely, there is plenty of time for him to change his mind.”
“It would be no surprise if Tiger Roll lined up at Aintree in 12 months’ time bidding to become the first horse to win three Grand Nationals in a row”, Stevens continued.
