Thikriyaat odds tick all the right boxes in Celebration Mile betting

Thikriyaat is on a serious upward curve and can take the step up into Group 2 company in his stride to land the feature Celebration Mile on this cracking seven-race card (16:30).

Trained by Sir Michael Stoute, this colt won his first three starts in the manner of a rapidly improving sort, performing with huge credit when stepping up into Group 3 company and finding only Ribchester too good in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.

After being held-up off the pace by jockey Paul Hanagan, and forced to race virtually alone in the centre, the three-year-old kept on really strongly from the three marker to be gaining all the way to the line and be beaten 2 1/4 lengths

Given how the race panned out, it was a terrific effort as he was drawn out wide and had to race away from the pace on the far side rail.

Rock solid form

The winner has since gone on to run a stormer to be a fast finishing third to The Gurkha in the Group 1 Sussex Stakes, before beating a top class field in the Group 1 Prix Jacques Le Marois at Deauville.

That gives the form a rock solid looks and Thikriyaat has since gone on to land a Group 3 contest over course and distance in terrific style, showing a smart turn of foot to score by a cosy 3/4 of length.

With the prospect of more to come, Thikriyaat odds have had him favourite throughout the build-up to the race, and this three-year-old is a worthy leader in the Celebration Mile betting, who can take this en route to even better things.

Certificate ready to rock in Revival Stakes

Also among our Goodwood tips is Certificate for the 7f Revival Stakes (15:20), with Roger Varian’s stable in fine form

This gelding has an upwardly-mobile profile and comes into the contest on the back of a career best effort when landing a 14-runner handicap at Doncaster in style.

After being held-up in touch, Varian’s five year-old made stealthy headway three from home to take up the running at the furlong marker before quickening clear to score by two lengths.

Certificate won with real authority and and it was a performance which suggested that he needed keeping firmly onside.

A 6lb rise in the weights looks more than fair, and another plus is that he has bagged a good draw in stall six.

Goldmember can March to glory

In the 1m 6f March Stakes (15.55), meanwhile, Goldmember can take advantage of a drop in class to get back on the scoresheet.

The three-year-old looked a smart prospect when winning his maiden at Thirsk by five lengths and has since been far from disgraced in two Group 3 contests.

In the last of those over 1m 4f at this venue, the David Simcock trained colt kept on at the one pace to be beaten 4 3/4 lengths into seventh behind Ulysses in the Gordon Stakes.

That represents form in the context of this lower grade Listed contest and the step up in trip looks sure to suit.
