Gareth Bale to make dramatic Tottenham return?
Published:Odds cut on Welshman’s move back to N17
It’s looking likely that it’ll be a summer of change at the Bernabeu, and Tottenham Hotspur could be the beneficiaries as they’ve seen their odds cut on a reunion with Gareth Bale.
With Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane looking to tempt Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Manchester United’s Paul Pogba to the Spanish capital, they’ll be looking to free up funds, and Bale could be first on the transfer list.
Spurs have had their odds dropped as low as 2/1 with our traders, in a move which would reunite him with the club he shone so brightly at.
Prior to his then world-record transfer to Los Blancos in 2013, Bale had scored 42 times in 146 for the Lilywhites, including 21 goals in 33 games during the 2012-13 campaign.
“It’s looking increasingly likely that Gareth Bale’s time in Spain is coming to an end and the Premier League surely beckons. There will be a host of options for him but it’s the return to Spurs which is beginning to look like the dream move and we’ve slashed the odds on it happening this summer,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
Elsewhere, after a summer of no transfer business in 2018, Spurs are also hoping they can complete the transfer of Aston Villa’s brightest star Jack Grealish.
He’s seen a move to Spurs falter in the past, but he’s now 6/1 to swap the famous Claret and Blue of Villa for the White of Tottenham.
