Bayern Munich do not lose at home very often. The Bundesliga champions are unbeaten at the Allianz Arena in 22 league games since a 1-0 defeat to Mainz in March 2016.
The hosts are heavy favourites here for a reason and should open up their league campaign with a victory. They’re first on our list at 2/9.
Burton Albion v Birmingham City – Draw
Off to the second tier of English Football and these two Midlands rivals will be difficult to separate.
Birmingham have started the season slightly better, but the Blues still lack goals and Burton will be a tough proposition on their home patch. The draw is 21/10.
Auxerre to beat Orleans
Moving across the Channel and Auxerre should kick-start their season with a win against mid-table Orleans.
The 2015 Coupe De France finalists have started the season off poorly, but have won their only home game so far. Orleans have lost their only away fixture game and on that basis the 11/10 on Auxerre makes sense.
Rio Ave to beat Portimonense
Rio Ave should have enough about them to see off Primeira Liga debutants Portimonense.
The visitors have started the season well, granted, but Ave have won two from two in the league and are unbeaten in two against tonight’s opponents. It’s a home win at 7/10 for this one.
Besiktas to beat Kasimpasa
Things are rounded off by an away victory for Besiktas. Last season’s champions have started this campaign off with a win and should do the business here.
They saw off Kasimpasa 4-1 when the two sides last met in May and with Alvaro Negredo now amongst their ranks, the Black Eagles are firm favourites for the clash. They’re 7/10 to walk away with all three points.
