USA v Wales betting tips: Draw on the cards
USA v Wales betting tips
Robert Page’s team face a tough test in their first World Cup since 1958 as we analyse the odds to pick out some USA v Wales betting tips.
Wales qualified for Qatar with victory over war-torn Ukraine in the play-off final and face an exciting American side who are back on the world stage.
The match at Al Rayyan Stadium kicks off at 7pm and is live on ITV.
Wales ready for the big time
Page stepped in for absent manager Ryan Giggs, who had been on leave since November 2020, and guided his country to their third consecutive major tournament.
The Dragons finished second in their qualifying group, five points behind winners Belgium, and had to rely on advancing through the play-offs.
That they did, with a 2-1 win over Austria followed by the 1-0 victory over Ukraine in Cardiff.

Wales have since drawn with Belgium and run the Netherlands close twice to show they have what it takes to compete on the big stage.
Page said: “We’ve got that confidence to go into any game. We know we’ve got big players that can hurt teams and win games of football.
“Looking at the group, they’re winnable games and anything can happen in a local derby, albeit in Qatar.”
Star players like Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey are enjoying their football again at Los Angeles FC and Nice respectively after leaving Real Madrid and Juventus.
The likes of Dan James, Harry Wilson, Brennan Johnson and Kieffer Moore will be looking to take their chance on the world stage.
This could be a tight game and a draw at 19/10 kicks off our USA v Wales predictions.
USA youngsters can shine
The Americans are back at a World Cup after missing out in Russia following last-16 exits at the previous two editions.
The USA scraped through qualifying automatically, finishing above Costa Rica on goal difference, but they do have reasons to be optimistic.
Their squad features a lot of young emerging players, with plenty now plying their trade in the Premier League.
Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic headlines the squad while Leeds have midfielders Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson, Antonee Robinson plays for Fulham and Chris Richards is now at Crystal Palace.
Add in Weston McKennie from Juventus, Barcelona defender Sergino Dest and Borussia Dortmund forward Giovanni Reyna and there is the makings of a decent squad.
There should be goals in this game and both teams to score is evens.
USA v Wales meetings
USA are unbeaten in their two meetings with Wales, winning one and drawing the other.
Goals from Landon Donovan and Eddie Lewis secured a 2-0 victory in 2003 while there was a goalless draw in 2020.
