Ronnie O’Sullivan 7/2 to win Sports Personality of the Year
The Rocket won his sixth world title last night
Ronnie O’Sullivan is 7/2 to win Sports Personality of the Year after claiming his sixth world title last night.
The Rocket beat Kyren Wilson 18-8 at the Crucible last night to move within one world championship of record-holder Stephen Hendry.
And he’s now just 7/2 to win this year’s Sports Personality of the Year award, as well as 11/4 to win next year’s world championship.
“Given the career he has had, it is surprising that the Rocket has never won this award,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“But after claiming his sixth world title at the age of 44, he will surely have a great chance in 2020 of being crowned the BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
“O’Sullivan is the joint-favourite in our outright betting to defend his title at the Crucible next year in what would ensure he matches Stephen Hendry’s record of seven world crowns.”
