Preview and odds for Saturday’s match

The Hammers paid the price for not putting away their chances in midweek and now welcome the Premier League leaders as we look through the odds to pick out some West Ham v Chelsea betting tips.

Chelsea maintained their position at the top of the table with a 2-1 win over Watford, while although only picking up a point, West Ham remain in the top four and David Moyes’ side will be looking to pick up another scalp.

Saturday’s game at the London Stadium kicks off at 12.30pm and is live on BT Sport.

West Ham v Chelsea match odds

West Ham looked set to pick up all three points on Wednesday night before Neal Maupay fired home an 89th-minute equaliser for Brighton.

Those dropped points come on the back of a defeat to Manchester City and they have had their momentum checked of late, with the visit of Chelsea continuing a tough run of fixtures.

The Blues navigated a tough test at Vicarage Road in midweek and are unbeaten in all competitions in the 12 games since losing to both Manchester City and Juventus in the space of five days.

The visitors are the 8/11 favourites for this, but the Hammers’ league position shows they have to be respected and they are 21/5 for another statement victory in West Ham v Chelsea betting tips.

Having seen West Ham put a slight dent in Liverpool’s title challenge, Chelsea will know they won’t get things their own way and a stalemate could be possible at 27/10.

Recent results suggest both teams to score is a possibility at 10/11, while both teams to find the net, over 2.5 goals and either team to win is a tempting proposition at 13/8 as a #YourCall special.

West Ham v Chelsea head-to-head

Chelsea did the double over their London rivals last season, winning 3-0 at Stamford Bridge and securing a 1-0 victory when they met here at the London Stadium.

A repeat of that scoreline is 11/2, while Timo Werner grabbed the only goal of the game on that occasion and he is also 11/2 to strike first on Saturday afternoon.

In the season before that it was the Hammers who held the bragging rights, winning both home and away.

They won to nil at Stamford Bridge and that is available at 15/2 this time, while it was a five-goal thriller here at the London Stadium, with Moyes’ men recording a 3-2 win thanks to a late Andriy Yarmolenko strike.

Over 3.5 is 12/5 on this occasion, while both teams to score and a West Ham win can be found at 17/2 in West Ham v Chelsea betting tips.

West Ham v Chelsea key battles

Chelsea shuffled the pack slightly for their trip to Watford in midweek, but that could mean that Romelu Lukaku is well rested ahead of his return to the spotlight.

The Belgium international came off the bench for the second successive game on Wednesday night and could be set for a return to the starting line-up following his spell on the sidelines with injury.

If starting he could be the man to make an immediate impact, with 4/1 available for him to grab the first goal, while a delayed introduction brings the 13/8 for a goal at anytime into play in West Ham v Chelsea betting tips.

Chelsea fans will also have been delighted to see Mason Mount grab his first goal since October against Watford and the England international is 21/10 to add to his tally and 3/1 to provide an assist.
