Manchester United eliminated from the Champions League last night

After a 3-2 defeat to RB Leipzig in the Champions League sealed Manchester United’s fate in this year’s competition, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is 2/5 to leave Manchester United before the end of the season.

Two late goals weren’t enough to help seal the crucial point the Red Devils needed to progress to the Round of 16, meaning they’ll drop into the Europa League.

Solskjaer leads the betting in the Premier League managerial sack race as the 13/8 favourite.

Manchester United currently sit sixth in the Premier League with 19 points and a game in hand. Chris Wilder is the 5/2 second favourite in the betting, with his Sheffield United side bottom of the table.

Coral’s John Hill said: “Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under immense pressure to keep his job at Manchester United following his side’s exit from the Champions League. The United boss is now the favourite to be the next Premier League manager to go ahead of Chris Wilder and Slaven Bilic respectively.”

Elsewhere, Slaven Bilic is 3/1 in the Premier League sack race, while Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta and Fulham’s Scott Parker are both 6/1.
